Import a car from Japan to Singapore
Singapore drives on the left and prizes newer, low-mileage cars. We source near-new RHD units at the auctions, translate the sheets and ship to PSA; you handle COE, ARF and VICOM inspection.
A premium market for near-new Japanese cars
What Singapore requires
Singapore registers only right-hand-drive cars, only allows relatively new used cars, and layers on a registration system (COE, ARF, LTA inspection) that makes near-new, well-documented cars the smart choice.
3-year age cap
A used car imported into Singapore must be no more than 3 years old at registration, measured from first registration (manufacture year as a fallback). We target clean, low-mileage lots.
Right-hand drive only
Singapore registers only right-hand-drive cars — the Japanese market matches by default. New registration of diesel and diesel-natural-gas cars has been barred since 1 January 2025.
COE, ARF & LTA inspection
On arrival the car needs a Certificate of Entitlement, Additional Registration Fee and an LTA-approved technical/emissions inspection before it can be registered.
COE, ARF, excise & GST at your end. Singapore adds excise duty, GST, a value-based Additional Registration Fee and a Certificate of Entitlement — all paid locally and not in the JapanAuc landed cost. Confirm current figures with the LTA.

Find eligible cars
We filter the auctions to RHD units under 3 years with low mileage and clean sheets, and translate everything so you bid with confidence.
Win & inspect
We bid on your behalf. On winning, the car moves to our yard for real yard-in photos and export preparation.
Pay the balance invoice
After you’ve seen the yard-in photos, settle the balance (hammer price + commission + export + freight) by bank transfer, Wise or PayPal.
Export & ship
We complete export deregistration, book RoRo or a container to Singapore (PSA), and send you the Bill of Lading and full document pack.
Clear at Singapore (PSA)
Your Singapore clearing agent pays the excise, GST, ARF and COE and registers the car with the LTA. We help with any document you need.

Your JapanAuc landed cost to Singapore
Everything JapanAuc charges is in Japanese yen and transparent: the hammer price you win at, our commission (flat ¥35,000 up to ¥1,000,000, then 3.5%), the Export Package (auction-house fee + inland transport + export handling), then ocean freight. Added up, that’s your CIF Singapore price.
Excise, GST, ARF, COE and the VICOM inspection are charged separately in Singapore — not part of our quote. Use the calculator for a live CIF figure, then add your local clearing costs.
